1. Introduction
At Quick Press Ironing Service, we are committed to providing high-quality ironing, dry cleaning, and laundry services to ensure your garments are handled with care and returned to you in the best possible condition. This service policy outlines the terms and conditions that govern our laundry and garment care services.
2. Scope of Services
We offer the following services:
- Ironing: Pressing clothes to remove wrinkles.
- Dry Cleaning: Professional cleaning of delicate and non-water-washable fabrics using specialized solvents.
- Laundry: Washing clothes using water and detergent, followed by drying, folding, and optional ironing.
3. Service Procedures
3.1 Item/s Collection
- Customers are required to have their clothes ready before scheduled collection.
- Customer must hand over their clothes adequately stored for transit. In bags or multiple baskets where necessary. Baskets must not overflow.
- Items should be properly labeled and sorted. Customers should provide clear instructions for any special care requests; delicate items, folding/hanging preferences, items for dry cleaning / alterations / laundry must be bagged and labelled separately.
3.2 Processing Time
- Ironing: 1-2 business days, depending on the volume.
- Dry Cleaning: 2-3 business days, depending on the complexity and type of garments.
- Laundry: 1-2 business days for standard items.
- Expedited services may be available for an additional charge.
- Customers will be notified of delays.
3.3 Special Handling
- Customers must notify us in advance if garments require special attention (e.g., handwashing, stain treatment, or delicate fabrics).
- We take all reasonable precautions, but cannot be held liable for damage to garments due to pre-existing conditions such as weak fabric, color bleeding, or incorrect garment care labels.
3.4 Pricing
- Prices are based on garment type, fabric, and care instructions. A detailed price list can be found on our website.
- Discounts or promotions may apply, and will be clearly communicated at the time of service.
4. Quality Assurance
4.1 Inspection
- Every garment is carefully inspected for stains, damages, and specific care requirements before processing.
- If any damage or issues are noticed, we will notify the customer promptly and offer solutions, which may include repairs, re-cleaning, or the return of the item as-is.
4.2 Stain Removal
- We use high-quality, eco-friendly cleaning agents and processes for stain removal.
- While we make every effort to remove stains, we cannot guarantee the removal of all stains, especially if the stain has set or is from a substance that is difficult to treat.
4.3 Garment Damage
- Although rare, we take responsibility for any damage caused during the cleaning or pressing process. Our liability is limited to the value of the garment as determined by the customer, or a maximum of 70% of item value.
- Customers should inspect items upon pickup, and any issues should be reported immediately.
5. Pickup and Delivery Services
- Pickup and Delivery: Available for select locations. Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery details.
- Delivery Timeframes: Delivery will be made within the standard service time, unless otherwise agreed upon.
- Availability: Pickup and delivery services are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
6. Customer Responsibilities
6.1 Garment Condition
- Customers should ensure that garments are free of any hazardous materials (e.g., pins, coins, or other items) before drop-off.
- Customers should inform us of any specific instructions related to fabric care, size, or fit.
6.2 Garment Tags
- Items should be accompanied by their care tags, or customers should inform us of any special instructions if the care tag is missing.
6.3 Unclaimed Items
- Garments must be picked up within 30 days from the completion date. After this period, unclaimed items may incur a storage fee of $30, or may be donated or disposed of at our discretion.
7. Pricing & Payment Terms
7.1 Pricing
- All services are priced according to the type of garment and level of service. Additional fees may apply for difficult items, special treatments or expedited services.
7.2 Payment
- Payment must be made at time of service pickup or delivery.
- Where an arrangement has been made to bulk pay after several services, payment must be made when account reaches $500.
- If not a regular customer, payment must be made on delivery or within 5 days of delivery.
- Accepted payment methods include cash, EFT & Credit Card.
8. Refund & Dispute Resolution
8.1 Refund Policy
- If a customer is unsatisfied with the service, we will attempt to resolve the issue by offering a re-cleaning, repair, or refund in cases of significant service failure.
- Refund requests must be made within 5 days of item pickup/delivery.
- Where a refund or replacement is applicable, Quick Press will determine refund percentage based on condition and years of garment/item. Depreciation will be considered.
- Quick Press will request proof of purchase when and where possible.
8.2 Damage Claims
- If a customer believes their garment has been damaged due to our service, they must report the issue within 5 days of pickup/delivery.
- We will assess the damage and, if determined to be our fault, compensate the customer based on the value of the garment or provide a replacement.
- Customer should provide proof where possible. Photographs and proof of purchase where possible.
9. Liability
- While we take utmost care to ensure the safety and quality of your garments, Quick Press Ironing Service will not be held responsible for any damage or loss caused by factors beyond our control, such as:
- Natural wear and tear
- Fabric weaknesses or defects
- Customer-provided garment instructions or incorrect labeling
- Customer is responsible for adequate handover of clothing. Must be bagged or in basket/s; clothes should not exceed capacity of basket, should not overflow.
- If customer is claiming loss of item, they should provide as much information as possible of specific item. Item description, brand, size, colour etc.
10. Privacy & Data Protection
- We respect our customers’ privacy and adhere to all local data protection laws. Any personal information collected during the service process will only be used for the purposes of providing services and will not be shared with third parties without consent.
11. Amendments to Policy
- Quick Press Ironing Service reserves the right to modify this policy at any time. Any changes will be communicated to customers through our website, social media, physical notices, or via email, as applicable.
